FAQ

Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions about reishi mushrooms (Ganoderma lingzhi).

Water-soluble polysaccharides are recognized by researchers as the active ingredients in reishi and have anti-tumor, immunomodulatory, blood pressure, and blood circulation lowering effects.

Triterpenes are also important active ingredients. Ganoderic acid, which is known to reduce common allergies by inhibiting histamine release, improving oxygen utilization, and improving liver function, is found in high amounts in reishi mushrooms (Ganoderma lingzhi).

Reishi is classified as an excellent herb or topical medicine. Such herbs are widely used in Chinese medicine, are non-toxic, and can be taken in large doses and for long periods without side effects.

Stomach upset and allergic reactions are rare but may occur. If you are new to this product, try a small amount of tea to ensure it is right for you.

Based on the research done so far, there are no side effects. However, detoxification symptoms may occur in sporadic cases, which signifies that you are in recovery. It is a sign that your body's metabolism has improved and is working to expel all the toxic substances accumulated over the years. There are also symptoms such as dry mouth. These are all typical signs of recovery and indicate that the medicinal properties of reishi are working well. These detoxification symptoms usually disappear within a few days of continued use of reishi.

Yes, you can. Since reishi is a natural health food, there is no need to worry about shrinkage or rejection. However, if you have any concerns about your health condition, please consult your physician and check with them beforehand.

Results will vary from individual to individual. Typically, you will notice the benefits of taking high-quality reishi after about 10–14 days. After taking reishi continuously for two months, you will see a significant difference in your overall health. Individuals need to make reishi a part of their daily routine for preventative health.

As a dietary supplement, there is no specific time to take it. It is said that the absorption rate is better on an empty stomach than on a full stomach, but for those with weak stomachs, we recommend taking it after meals.

Yes. Reishi is a health food supplement that is useful for all age groups. However, for your safety when taking dietary supplements, it is recommended that you consult a qualified physician.

It is recommended to take reishi twice a day, in the morning and before bed. It is also recommended to take vitamin C with reishi as it helps the body absorb the active ingredients of reishi. Studies have shown that vitamin C helps break down complex polysaccharides into smaller, more manageable pieces that the body can ingest.

Reishi products are available in tablet, capsule, or granular form. However, powder and capsule forms are superior because they are made with less processing.

The quality of reishi products varies significantly from manufacturer to manufacturer. Factors such as cultivation methods, strain quality, growing conditions, and how the reishi mushrooms are processed play an essential role in determining the potency of reishi products.

Modern wood log technology for growing reishi mushrooms on a larger scale was developed in Japan in the 1970s, and Japanese products are rich in safe, high-grade reishi mushrooms.

Before deciding which product to use, also make sure that the ingredients, the percentage of extract, the address of the manufacturer or importer, and the origin of the product are correctly and clearly labeled. Authentic, high-quality, and safe dietary supplements will contain this information.

Another vital factor to consider is the level of active ingredient content in the larvae, such as polysaccharides (about 60% of ours) and triterpenoids.

The most common cultivation methods are wood pulp (sawdust and bottles), wooden boxes, and natural wood logs.

Wood pulp cultivation involves placing wood pulp or sawdust in a glass jar with the addition of reishi bacteria; after three months, this usually produces small mushrooms of relatively poor quality.

Wood box cultivation is the process of grafting reishi onto wooden logs and placing them in a wooden box. This method generally yields medium-quality reishi mushrooms after six months.

The natural tree log method, which was first developed by the Japanese, is the most complex cultivation method and yields large red reishi mushrooms of high quality.

In this method, high-quality reishi is first cultivated in a test tube for about 85 days. The germinated fungus is then placed in holes drilled in high-quality logs that are 26–30 years old. The logs are then placed in a greenhouse and buried under nutrient-rich soil for five months. During this period, the reishi absorbs almost all of the nutrients in the ground.

To harvest high-quality reishi, it is necessary to monitor the growing conditions constantly.

Of all the reishi species known to have health benefits, red reishi has proven to be the most effective in improving overall health by strengthening the immune system, bodily functions, and vital organs.

Black reishi (reishi) is relatively common and can be found in most Chinese herb stores (low in active ingredients and low in potency).

And while the allure of wild reishi may be tempting, it cannot compare to the quality of our reishi, which is cultivated under precise conditions that are monitored and controlled around the clock.

You should not wait until you are sick to take care of yourself. The main benefit of reishi is its ability to support and regulate the immune system to optimal levels. Therefore, for health preservation, it is advisable to include red reishi in your daily routine.

In nature, reishi is found in hardwood such as plum trees and oak trees. However, it is rarely found in this form. For this reason, it was highly valued by healers, and only kings could get their hands on it.

In the early 1970s, Japanese researchers discovered a way to cultivate reishi. Today, red reishi is readily available in Japan, China, the United States, and other parts of Asia and can be seen being grown commercially.

Reishi fine powder is made from dried reishi mushrooms that a specialized machine has ground into a powder that is easy to use for various purposes. On the other hand, Reishi Extract powder is a fine powder of Reishi mushroom condensed by a patented multi-stage pressurized extraction method and is easily soluble in water.
