THE DEER HORN SHAPED REISHI
The shape and the quality of the Reishi (ganoderma Lucidum) changes greatly depending on it's surrounding environment (amount of light, temperature, humidity).
Usually in a natural environment the Reishi will grow on decaying plum tree and will generally take the shape of an umbrella, but if certain special condition are meet, the mushrooms will lose it umbrella shape and will develop into
a ramified form which is similar to the shape of a deer horn,
hence the name "Deer Horn Shaped Ganoderma Lucidum". It is also recognized that this rare type of Reishi contain more nutriment and are the highest quality mushroom that can be found.
HIGH CONTENT OF β-GLUCAN
Mushrooms in general and especially reishi are known to contain important level of β-Glucan.
β-Glucan have special structure that permit them to reinforce the immune system. Therefore, the higher the content of β-Glucan is the better is the quality of the Mushroom and it's pharmacodynamic effects.
The research that had been conducted on differences species of mushrooms showed that the β-glucan content in Deer Horn Shaped Ganoderma Lucidum is six times higher than that of in mushrooms of the genus Agaricus.
It is worthy of it's tittle of "King of Mushrooms".
The research that had been done in the recent decade on mushrooms from the same species as the Deer horn shaped Ganoderma Lucidum had revealed that they contained anti-cancer agent
- "Krestin or PSK" in the Trametes versico/or,
- "Schizophyllan" from the Schizophyllum Commune,
- "Lentinan" from the Shiitake
Moreover, the pharmacodynamic effects of Deer Horn Shape Ganoderma Lucidum are not limited to the cancer, but also have good effect on the diseases caused by bad lifestyle and intractable diseases.
VIGORATION OF BLOOD CIRCULATION
The amount of blood circulating inside our body is approximately the equivalent of 8 to 10 % of the corporal mass.
For an adult of 70 kilo the amount of blood should be around 5 or 6 kilo, heavier than any organ, thus the importance of it's good circulation.
The oriental medicine, call the blood stasis situation in which the blood is not flowing normally "congestion". Depending on it viscosity, the blood has difficulty to Flow to the peripheral blood vessels or flows very slowly.
Therefore, the root cause of diseases is no other than blood, which proved again the viewpoint that by only keeping the blood clean and flowing, we can stay healthy.
The professor from oriental medicine research institution of Kinki University, and the Doctor Yotizi concluded that: "the Ganoderma Lucidum can improve the congestion of the blood vessel, and is contributing to the good circulation of the blood". The Deer Horn Shape Ganoderma Lucidum is "The mushroom" to use.
IT IS AN ADAPTOGEN
Medical association started to focus on the concept of "Adaptogen", but what exactly are they ?
An adaptogen is a metabolic regulator which increases the ability of an organism to adapt to environmental factors, and to avoid damage from such factors. Environmental factors can be either physiological (external), such as injury or aging, or psychological (internal), such as anxiety.
An adaptogen must have a normalizing effect, i.e. counteracting or preventing disturbances to homeostasis brought about by stressors. Moreover, it must be innocuous with a broad range of therapeutic effects without causing any major side effects. The adaptogen concept does not fit easily into the Western model of medicine. However Reishi are fulfilling those condition and can be considered as Adaptogen.

How can one fungus help the human body in so many ways? Traditional Eastern medical science explains Reishi's wide range of medicinal applications better, perhaps, than mainstream medicine ever could.
According to Eastern thought, the body needs to defend itself against threats to its "equilibrium." These threats can be physical, such as viruses and bacteria that cause infection; emotional, such as stressors that cause anxiety; or energetic, in that they reduce alertness. Whatever the threat, Reishi helps the body maintain its defense against these threats to its equilibrium, helping the body to maintain balance. In this sense, diseases like heart disease and cancer mean that the body is out of balance, which is why an equilibrium-enhancing remedy such as Reishi can help so many diverse ailments.
Adaptogen = Reishi :
- non-toxic and can be taken daily without producing any side effects.
(Z)When it is taken regularly, it can restore the body to its natural state, enabling all organs to function normally.
@Immune modulator - regulates and fine tunes the immune system.
@ Boost the Recovery Ability
The need for adaptogen arose when the western medicine which is limited by the research of symptoms and their treatments cannot offer the patient another way to treat them.
REISHI MUSHROOM BENEFITS
Many Scholars from different nationality are researching on the effect of the Reishi (USA, Japan, China,... ).
They agreed that the Health Benefits of Reishi indeed sounds like a cure-alI. An immunostimulant, it is helpful for people with AIDS, leaky gut syndrome, Epstein-Barr, chronic bronchitis, and other infectious viruses. It is used as an aid to sleep; as a diuretic; as a laxative; and to lower cholesterol. Reishi mushrooms are antioxidants and liver protectants.
Also, not all of the active components in Reishi have been isolated; like many other organic substances, the molecules in this plant are quite complex, though they are probably mostly polysaccharides and peptides. Dr. Terry Willard, a proponent of the medical uses of this mushroom, maintains that Reishi also decreases free radicals by 50.4 percent through an as yet, unidentified antioxidant...
Other researchers suspect that Reishi stimulates production of the body's own free radical scavenger, an enzyme called superoxide dismutase (SOD). According to the Bulletin of the Oriental Healing Arts Institute, Reishi acts as an agent for promoting an increase in leukocytes, phagocytosis which in turn increase the number o disease-fighting T-cells in the bloodstream.

REINFORCE THE IMMUNE SYSTEM
When entering the middle age, the possibility of getting the diseases caused by unhealthy lifestyles, atherosclerosis, diabetes and liver are higher as our immunity is declining with age. One of the factor that causes Cancer is related to the weakening of our immune system.
Therefore, we must develop good living habits to try to restore and maintain our immune system. As Dr. Andrew Weil writes, Reishi "has been the subject of a surprising amount of scientific research in Asia and the West." Research shows that the polysaccharide beta-1,3-D-glucan in Reishi boosts the immune system by raising the amount of macrophages T-cells, which has major implications for people suffering from AIDS and other immune system disorders.
"Reishi indeed sounds like cure-all ",writes Rebecca Wood in her "New Whole Foods Encyclopedia." She goes on to explain Reishi's wide range of uses.
''An immunostimulant, it is helpful for people with AIDS, leaky-gut syndrome, Epstein-Barr, chronic bronchitis and other infectious diseases. It is used as an aid to sleep, as a diuretic, as a laxative and to lower cholesterol." It almost seems too good to be true.
According to the Ministry of Health Labor and Welfare, after a national study on the cause of the recent increasing of allergic symptoms, it is estimated that 40% of the population are suffering from allergies. However, the Deer Horn Shaped Ganoderma Lucidum has beneficial effect on preventing and improving resistance to allergies.
Besides effects on mammalian physiology, Ganoderma is reported to have anti-bacterial and anti-viral activities. Ganoderma is reported to exhibit direct anti-viral with the following viruses; HSV-1, HSV-2, influenza virus, vesicular stomatitis. Ganoderma mushrooms are reported to exhibit direct anti-microbial properties with the following organisms; Aspergillus niger, Bacillus cereus, Candida albicans, and Escherichia coli.
RESEARCH CONDUCTED IN CHINA
The Chinese have studied, experimented and used the Ganoderma Lucidum as A high quality Tonic and as a very rare and Highly praised Medicinal Herb Since the Ancient times., It is used for activating blood and dissolving stasis, improving metabolism, prolonging life, improving intelligence and physical strength, etc. Nowadays, Researchers are trying to confirm the pharmacodynamic effects of Ganoderma Lucidum scientifically, meanwhile, the analysis on chemical composition of Ganoderma Lucidum , pharmacological actions and clinical research are making good progress.
The Chinese Academy of Sciences and Beijing Medical College collected all the research findings from the universities, hospitals and research institutions all over the country, and published the national scale report .
The report listed (non exhaustive) the following clinical and medicinal use of the Deer shaped Reishi:
①improve hyperlipidemia , coronary heart disease ( coronary insufficiency)
